Has anyone ever considered the idea that Atlas Shrugged is probably about the fact that New York is bound to sink into the water someday? We all thought Atlas was the metaphor for John Galt and co, but they were probably the metaphor for the giant that is obviously the only thing keeping New York afloat. I’m pretty sure that’s what Ayn Rand meant. Won’t the tea party be surprised. If islands earn their fates- like the floating island Artemis and Apollo were born on getting to stay still- what did poor Manhattan do to deserve this?
